Beethoven's Last Night album

http://www.progarchives.com/progressive_rock_discography_covers/819/cover_171482912008.JPG

To begin, I want to say that rock symphony, or symphonic rock is one of my favorite genres of music. A combination between classical pieces and contemporary, strong elements, isn't it good? And this album is definitely that good!

It uses some famous parts of Beethoven, such as Moonlight Sonata, Symphony 9, For Elise, etc. and remixes them. But don't think it's crappy, as it doesn't turn Beethoven masterpieces into dance music. It tells about the last night of Beethoven's life (imaginary), and the album is like a review, or a way musicians nowadays think about Beethoven.

Some classical lovers might not like it. I myself think it's a bit too much "rock". And the leading voice at some points remind me of the actors in Les Miserables the musical! (maybe Javert). I prefer the instrumental-only tracks in this album.

Anyway, you can check Youtube for this album. Try this track: "A Last Illusion"
